The mission of openAAminds is to promote inclusiveness within AA by providing a forum for like-minded people to share news, information, experience, hope, strength and opinions in a secure environment that protects their anonymity. We believe that an open-minded AA by definition, is also a supporter of inclusiveness.
While our members affirm that they are members of Alcoholics Anonymous (AA), openAAminds has no direct connection with AA, SecularAA.org or SecularAA.com.
We believe that a A.A. should be inclusive in order to be consistent with the AA Preamble which states:
A.A. is not allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization or institution; does not wish to engage in any controversy; neither endorses nor opposes any causes.

A secure environment is created by requiring membership. Membership on this site has two requirements: membership in AA and a commitment to the site concept of Inclusiveness. Please note that we welcome all believers or non-believers and doubters of any shade in between. If you qualify, you may join openAAminds without charge.
If you are a visitor (not logged in to an account) you will see the Visitor Quick Links on your left (pc) or above (mobile device). If you follow the links on this menu in order, you will obtain a good overview of our site and what membership in openAAminds means.
